TD does not authorize employment regardless of which employer the principal selects.
Compare family needs separately
Include any spouse work plan, including remote work while in the United States. The salary or benefits of an offer do not create dependent employment permission. Hypothetical example: a botanical illustrator whose spouse plans to continue paid online work after a move.
At a first review, the first review should separate the principal’s proposed professional work from each family member’s intended activity. The records most likely to settle that point are marriage record, children’s birth records, passports, status documents, and a written outline of the spouse’s work plan. Sequence the work deliberately: choose the principal route only after testing whether the dependent arrangement fits the household plan.
A common error is assuming income earned remotely is irrelevant because the payer is outside the United States; that error matters because a conclusion based on incomplete or mismatched facts may not carry to the final arrangement. Write down the decision that remains after the review, the fact that could change it, and the record needed to resolve that fact. This creates a usable file rather than a collection of documents that cannot be connected to the actual plan.
